Recently, the Fairbury Police Department arrested Correy A. Hein, 21, of Fairbury, on the charge of sexual assault of a child.
According to the affidavit for arrest warrant, the incident was reported to the police on Feb. 3 by the victim and her parent. The affidavit said Hein was living with the victim and her parent for several months.
The affidavit states that on Jan. 22, the victim, a 14-year-old, and Hein had intercourse in Hein’s bedroom at the residence. The affidavit said the officer contacted Hein, informing “Hein of the earlier complaint.”
According to the affidavit, Hein asked to speak to the officer in private, during which, “Hein disclosed that on late night of (Jan. 22, 2018) or early morning (Jan. 23, 2018) he and (the victim) engaged in sexual intercourse in his bedroom (…).”
Hein was arrested and he is currently housed at the Jefferson County Jail, where he is charged with first-degree sexual assault, a class 2 felony, which carries a maximum sentence of up to 50 years in prison. His bond was set at $75,000, 10 percent.
