Banks Join Forces To Fight Hunger

Banks Join Forces To Fight Hunger, Fairbury News Now Nebraska NE

Local financial institutions, Union Bank & Trust, The First National Bank of Fairbury and American National Bank are teaming up to help the local Blue Valley Community Action Food Bank.

In a friendly competition, the three banks are once again challenging one another to raising the most food in points. The two banks who collect the least amount of food have volunteered to greet their fellow participant’s customers for an afternoon.

Danni Starck from UBT, Tiffany Pfaff from First National Bank and Lori Adams from American National have all agreed to represent their banks in this competition for a good cause.

First National Bank of Fairbury North Branch Manager Tiffany Pfaff commented, “The outstanding response last year obviously urged us to do it again this year,” she added, “First National Bank will hopefully claim the title for the second straight year in a row!”

Anyone wishing to donate can take their non-perishable items and/or cash donation to any of the three bank locations here in town.

Collections will be taken immediately, however the date of the actual competition will be November 1 – 17. Date and time of the afternoon greeting will be determined and announced on Facebook.
