Cornhusker United Way Day Approaching

Cornhusker United Way Day Approaching, Fairbury News Now Nebraska Ne

Come celebrate United Way Day on Sept. 7! Each year, the Cornhusker United Way hosts a Campaign Kick-Off event in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the many local programs it benefits. To thank the community for 33 years of support, FREE coffee and kolaches will be provided at Crete Custom Cookies (107 West 14th) from 8:30-10:30 am. Businesses and community members are encouraged to attend!

In addition to stopping by for the free Campaign Kick-Off brunch, community members can show their support by shopping at New Beginnings in downtown Crete on United Way Day! New Beginnings, a non-profit retail establishment committed to helping those in need, will be donating all profits generated between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to Cornhusker United Way. If you too would like to offer payroll donations or a percentage of your business’s sales revenue on United Way Day, please contact Scott at salinecat@hotmail.com or 402-433-4511.

Cornhusker United Way serves Saline, Butler, Polk, Fillmore, Jefferson, Thayer, Seward, Saunders, and rural York Counties. Donations support a wide variety causes and organizations that work tirelessly to improve the lives of people throughout our communities. Enriching the lives of children and the elderly, eliminating poverty, and breaking the cycle of violence are just a few of the things that United Way organizations do daily. With your support, the possibilities are limitless! Help us help others by taking part in United Way Day on Sept. 7.
