On Monday, many people came to the Fairbury Cemetery to take part in the annual Memorial Day Ceremony, showing their respect and honoring those who have sacrificed so much to defend the American way of life.
The ceremony featured a number of speeches discussing the importance of celebrating Memorial Day in the United States of America. Mark Schoenrock address the crowd, urging them to keep the memories of those who have fallen alive in their hearts and minds. Here is a portion of the speech he gave on Monday:
Toward the end of the ceremony, several organizations in Fairbury and Jefferson County placed wreaths around a memorial in the cemetery to honor all who have served the country and all who are currently serving in the armed forces.
