The Fairbury Police Department will be participating in the nationwide Click It or Ticket Campaign, which will be beginning on November 20, 2017 and ending on November 26, 2017. During the period, increased patrols will be made possible due to a grant through the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS). This grant will allow officers to work extra time in order to increase the enforcement of traffic laws and specifically increase patrol for seat belt violations. The extra time worked by officers will then be paid by the NOHS. With the goal of increasing seat belt enforcement, the Fairbury Police Department hopes to increase the number of people wearing seat belts.
