Fairbury Runners Earn Spot At State

conference, Area Runners Compete At Fairbury Meet, Fairbury News Now Nebraska NE

On Thursday, Fairbury’s Cross Country Runners traveled to Minden to put their skills to the test, resulting in one boy runner and the entire Lady Jeffs Cross Country Team punching their ticket to compete at the state cross country meet. The Lady Jeffs were able to claim third place as a team and the Jeffs took seventh as a team. Here are the full results provided by Kristi Peterson, Head Cross Country Coach for Fairbury:

Fairbury Lady Jeffs:

  • Mikwena Lierman placed eighth with a time of 21:21.00
  • Kacy Starck took ninth place with a time of 21:23.00
  • Josephine Blatny placed 22nd with a time of 22:30.00
  • Autumn Branson took 26th place with a time of 22:45.00
  • Emily Burkley placed 33rd with a time of 23:24.00
  • Erica Mosher took 40th with a time of 23:48.00

Fairbury Jeffs:

  • Isaac Robertson took 14th place with a time of 18:27.00, earning him a spot at the state meet
  • Jared Engelman placed 27th with a time of 19:22.00
  • Devin Holliday took 33rd place with a time of 19:35.00
  • Braden Graham placed 44th with a time of 21:13.00
  • Dylan Starr took 47th place with a time of 21:32.00
  • Dillon Weichel placed 57th with a time of 23:25.00
