These are the very latest law enforcement records from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and from the Fairbury Police Department as of November 17, 2017:

From The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office:

November 1: Cody A. Rumbaugh was southbound on 577th Avenue in a 2005 Dodge at an unknown speed. He left the roadway, entering the ditch and traveling 113 feet, striking a steel culvert. Rumbaugh was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained a cut on his nose. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt either and he impacted the windshield with his head. Both the driver and the passenger exited the vehicle, at which time, the passenger fled the scene. The vehicle was totaled.

November 8: Traffic stop resulting in a citation being issued for possession of marijuana, one ounce or less, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

November 10: Deputies assisted the Gage County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit that entered Jefferson County. Once a Jefferson County Deputy stopped the vehicle, the driver was arrested.

November 12: Russell H. Behrands was traveling south on 580 Avenue in a 2016 Ford, just south of Highway 8, when he struck a calf which was standing in the roadway. The calf ran from the area and injury to the animal is unknown. There was $2,000 of damage to Behrands’ vehicle.

November 12: Report of a harassment/threats by phone in Harbine.

November 14: Assisted the Thayer County Sheriff’s Office with the search of a cell phone.

November 14: Julie K. Sorensen was westbound on 724th Road near the intersection of 571 Avenue. She was traveling in a 2008 Dodge. A deer ran into the roadway in front of the vehicle. The driver swerved to avoid the deer, entering the ditch, and then through a field and back onto 724th Road. This in turn caused the plastic rear bumper cover to come loose. She was not aware that it was loose and drove home, losing the bumper cover on Highway 4.

From the Fairbury Police Department:

November 9: Female arrested for shoplifting.

November 9: Female arrested for possession of stolen property, flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving and no operator’s license.

November 10: Jimmy L. Roeser was backing his 1998 Buick from its parked location east to enter the alley between C and D Streets. While backing, he struck a parked 2008 Dodge owned by Steve Seibolt. There was $200 of damage to Seibolt’s vehicle and $500 of damage to Roeser’s.

November 10: Driver issued a citation for no proof of insurance, no proof of ownership and possession of drug paraphernalia.

November 10: Welfare check in Fairbury.

November 11: Report of shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

November 11: Report of a theft in the 900 block of 17th Street.

November 12: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

November 12: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

November 12: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

November 13: Vehicle towed from the 700 block of C Street.

November 13: Report of a disturbance in the 1100 block of Eighth Street.

November 13: Report of a theft in the 800 block of G Street.

November 14: Report of a disturbance in the 400 block of I Street.

November 15: Report of a disturbance in the 100 block of West Fourth Street.

November 15: Check welfare on a juvenile. Juvenile was contacted and determined to be fine.

November 15: Report of abandoned property in the 900 block of J Street.

November 16: Report of harassment in the 1200 block of Maple Street.
