These are the very latest records from the Fairbury Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office as of November 10, 2017:

From The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office:

October 23: Gary D. Vergith was traveling southbound on Highway 15 in a 2000 Ford when he collided with a deer. There was a total of $2,000 of damage to the vehicle.

October 26: Megan D. Kopf was traveling southbound on Highway 103 in a 2007 Chevrolet, approaching the intersection of 725th Road when Creighton W. Niemeyer, who was driving a 2002 Ford, turned in front of her. Kopf applied her brakes and veered to the right in an attempt to avoid the collision, but was unable to avoid the collision, striking the left front of Niemeyer’s vehicle with the left front of her vehicle as Niemeyer turned in front of her. Kopf’s vehicle came to rest in a ditch on the southwest corner of the intersection. Niemeyer’s vehicle spun 180 degrees and rolled back across the highway to the east, coming to rest in the ditch on the east side of Highway 103, south of the intersection. Niemeyer’s vehicle was totaled and Kopf’s vehicle sustained $5,000 of damage. Those involved in the crash were treated for injuries.

November 3: Report of a suspicious activity in Reynolds.
November 4: Report of an uncontrollable juvenile in Plymouth.

November 4: Lennie R. Eubanks stated he parked his 2007 Jeep at the entrance to a pasture. When he exited the vehicle, the Jeep began rolling down a steep hill. The vehicle struck a tree with the left front bumper, causing the vehicle to overturn and come to rest on the passenger side. Eubanks stated that he possibly forgot to put the vehicle in park prior to exiting the vehicle. Eubanks’ vehicle was totaled.

November 5: Preston A. Groenemeyer was traveling westbound on 720th Road in a 2004 Dodge, responding to a medical call for Plymouth Rescue when a deer ran into the roadway. Groenemeyer struck the deer, causing damage to the front bumper, grill and fog lights. Groenemeyer continued responding to the emergency call by Plymouth Rescue and reported the incident after the emergency call ended. There was $2,500 of damage to Groenemeyer’s vehicle.

November 7: Erik D. Ausk was traveling east on Highway 8 in a 2006 Honda when a deer came out of the north ditch and struck the right front corner of the vehicle. There was $1,000 of damage to Ausk’s vehicle.

From The Fairbury Police Department:

November 3: Seth T. Firmanik was backing a 2004 Chevrolet out of the driveway on I Street and came into collision with a 2015 Chevrolet owned by Endicott Clay Products that was parked and unattended. There was $1,700 of damage to Firmanik’s vehicle and $1,800 to the vehicle owned by Endicott Clay Products.

November 3: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

November 4: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

November 4: Report of a missing person in the 900 block of 17th Street.

November 4: Civil stand-by in the 1400 block of C Street.

November 4: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

November 5: Report of a barking dog in the 700 block of Seventh Street.

November 5: Report of a civil dispute in the 1200 block of B Street.

November 5: Report of a hit and run in the 1100 block of H Street.

November 5: Report of a disturbance in the 1200 block of Maple Street.

November 5: Report of a theft in the 800 block of C Street.

November 5: Ronnie J. Ramsey’s 2013 Dodge was parked in the 1100 block of H Street. Ramsey found damage to his vehicle by noticing a reflector that had been knocked from its mount and was laying on the street. He inspected the vehicle and found fresh damage to the vehicle. It is unknown who struck Ramsey’s vehicle. There was a total of $200 of damage to Ramsey’s vehicle.

November 6: Report of a disturbance in the 1000 block of A Street.
