These are the very latest law enforcement records from the Fairbury Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office as of October 13, 2017:

From The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office:

October 4: Report of an uncontrollable juvenile in rural Fairbury.

October 6: A reported drunk driver was stopped and cited for driving under suspension. The investigation determined the driver was not intoxicated.

October 7: Criminal mischief at the Fairbury Cemetery.

October 8: Alan D. Rieth was traveling southbound on 573rd Avenue south of 709th Road on a 2000 Harley-Davidson when the driver lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. The vehicle slid on its side, rolled and ejected the driver. The driver had visible injuries to his head, face and hands. The driver’s pants had scuff marks on them. When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found the driver face down on the ground and unconscious. No helmet was found near the driver or on the motorcycle. The deputy smelled the odor of alcohol on the injured driver and the driver’s friend who was riding a motorcycle behind Rieth. Rieth was transported to Jefferson Community Health & Life and was then lifeflighted to Bryan LGH West in Lincoln. The motorcycle was totaled.

October 11: One male subject arrested for making terroristic threats in Jefferson County.

From The Fairbury Police Department:

October 5: Report of harassment in the 500 block of K Street.

October 5: Check well-being in the 2200 block of H Street.

October 5: Cynthia J. Lamb stated she was backing a 2012 Dodge out and bumped the front of a 2014 Dodge owned by Tammy Block that was parked in the private garage at the Region V Center. The only noticeable damage on Block’s vehicle was a broken deer whistle on the front of the bumper. There was some white paint transfer the vehicle Lamb was driving on the front two screws of the license plate. The only damage to Lamb’s vehicle was on the right side of the bumper where it had swiped against the license plate screws. There was $20 of damage to Block’s vehicle and $1,001 of damage to Lamb’s.

October 5: Report of a verbal disturbance in the 1100 block of F Street.

October 6: Report of animal neglect in the 700 block of Seventh Street.

October 6: Report of shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

October 6: Christina D. Haddan was slowing her 2008 GMC to allow an oncoming bicycle to clear a curb-side parked vehicle. While slowing/stopped in traffic, Cashe D. Kroll, who was driving a 1999 Ford, struck the rear of Haddan’s vehicle. Haddan then left the scene. There was $2,000 of damage to Haddan’s vehicle and $500 of damage to Kroll’s.

October 7: Misty D. Clauson stated she turned to attend to children in the back seat of her 2001 Pontiac as she was traveling south on McDowell Street. Clauson’s vehicle moved to the right of the road and struck a parked 2000 Volkswagen, owned by Charles B. Humphrey. There was $2,000 of damage to Humphrey’s vehicle and $1,000 to Clauson’s.

October 7: Gergory J. Jarchow backed a 1998 Chevrolet from a curbside parking stall into a lane of traffic through the parking area as Elaine M. Cortney attempted to pass, driving a 1998 Buick. Jarchow struck Cortney’s vehicle in the right rear door area. There was $500 of damage to Cortney’s vehicle and $200 of damage to Jarchow’s.

October 8: Report of a distressed cat in the 1000 block of H Street.

October 8: Report of an assault in the 800 block of B Street.

October 8: Report of a protection order violation.

October 8: Assist another department in the 1200 block of G Street.

October 8: Christopher L. Davis stated he backed his 1997 Chevrolet to the east to turn into his driveway on Fifth Street when he struck a parked 2008 Ford owned by Colby Ferris. There was no damage reported to Davis’ vehicle and $600 of damage to Ferris’.

October 10: Report of fraud in Fairbury.

October 10: Report of a disturbance in the 1500 block of D Street.

October 10: Report of a disturbance in the 400 block of Fifth Street.
