These are the very latest records from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and from the Fairbury Police Department as of October 20, 2017:

From The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office:

October 16: Arrest of subject for violation of sex offender registry.

October 17: Report of suspicious activity in Diller.

October 18: Jerry A. Zabokrtsky was westbound on Highway 8 in a 2012 Toyota when a rabbit jumped in front of his vehicle. He struck the rabbit and the collision did $1,500 of damage to the front end of his vehicle.

October 20: Welfare check in rural Fairbury.

From The Fairbury Police Department:

October 8: Report of domestic assault in the 1000 block of Sixth Street. One male was arrested.

October 9: Report of an assault in the 1100 block of Seventh Street. One female arrested for child abuse.

October 9: Taylor L. Gustafson stated she was backing a 2003 Dodge out of a parking stall and felt a collision. Grant D. Snyder stated he was backing up a 2000 Chevrolet and collided with Gustafson. There was $1,001 of damage to each vehicle.

October 9: Mark A. Bush stated he parked his vehicle, a street sweeper, up the block on 10th Street and put the parking brake on, got out of the vehicle to talke to someone, when he was told his vehicle was rolling. He said he attempted to get to the vehicle before it collided with a parked 2000 Ford owned by Sherri Bennett, but was unable to make it in time. The street sweeper collided with Bennett’s vehicle, causing $1,001 of damage to Bennett’s vehicle. There was no damage to Bush’s vehicle.

October 10: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

October 12: Report of a theft in the 1400 block of B Street.

October 12: Report of a burglary in the 900 block of C Street.

October 13: Report of an assault in the 1300 block of Tilden Street.

October 14: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

October 14: Report of a male with an active warrant in the 1400 block of C Street. One male was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

October 14: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

October 14: Report of found property at Crystal Springs.

October 14: Report of shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

October 15: Report of a disturbance in the 700 block of Fourth Street.

October 15: Report of dogs barking in the 1000 block of Eighth Street.

October 16: Animal complaint in the 1000 block of H Street.

October 16: Report of a backpack found in McNish Park. Backpack returned to owner.

October 16: Juvenile complaint in the 1200 block of Maple Street.

October 16: Report of a loose dog in the City Park.

October 17: Report of a juvenile complaint in the 700 block of K Street.

October 18: Report of a missing person.

October 19: Animal complaint in the 800 block of 10th Street.
