Lofts Faces Charges For Felony Assault, Fairbury News Now Nebraska NE
An ambulance call led to a Fairbury woman being arrested on July 3 for felony assault and strangulation charges.Chief of the Fairbury Police Department Chad Sprunk explained that officers responded to the ambulance call and arrested Kylie R. Lofts, 26, of Fairbury.

“At approximately 2:44 in the afternoon, the Jefferson County Dispatch Center received a call from a female subject requesting an ambulance for an unknown situation,” said Sprunk. “Due to it being a known location to law enforcement, we responded along with the ambulance. Upon arrival we observed a female subject that appeared to have been beaten severely. She was transported to Jefferson Community Health & Life.”

The police conducted interviews with the subject at Jefferson Community Health & Life, before she was transferred to Lincoln to receive further treatment for her injuries. Lofts now faces charges for first degree assault, a class 2 felony, and strangulation, a class 2A felony.

“The victim was transported to Bryan LGH West in Lincoln for severe injuries, including possible broken bones,” Sprunk said. “The investigation is still continuing at this time.”

Lofts is currently housed at the Jefferson County Jail, waiting for a bond to be set.
