Man Survives Being Hit By Car Near Harbine, Fairbury News Now Nebraska NE

Early on Saturday morning, first responders received a call that a man was hit by a car at the intersection of Highway 136 and 578 Avenue near Harbine. After transporting the man to the hospital, he was found to have no injuries.

Witnesses stated that Issiah D. Halsted of Hildreth was standing outside of his vehicle, which was parked at a stop sign on 578 Avenue. He was leaning against the vehicle. When they went to check on him, he awakened and darted into the Highway, where a westbound 2008 GMC, driven by Chynna Parks of Fairbury, struck him.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Diller Fire and Rescue and Jefferson County Ambulance responded to the call, and Halsted was transported to Jefferson Community Health & Life.

There was a total of $6,000 of damage to Parks’ vehicle. Halsted was released from Jefferson Community Health & Life after they found him to be without injuries.
