Hunter R. McCuistion 19 years old of Belvidere, Nebraska was taken into custody on November 18, 2016 at approximately 1552 hours for alleged Burglary (2A Felony) and Possession of Stolen Property (1Misdemeanor).
On November 18, 2016 at approximately 0814 hours, the Fairbury Police Department was dispatched to a business in the 500 block 4th Street reference a burglary. When officers arrived, they observed that 2 businesses were broken into. Numerous credit cards, cash, security system, phones cameras and numerous residential keys were taken.
Late afternoon, officers were investigating a reported runaway juvenile that was supposed to be staying in a tent at the Fairbury City Park. An officer located the individual and while speaking with him, the officer observed the credit cards that were stolen during the burglary. Several other items that were stolen during the burglary were also recovered from that location. Officers took a 16 year old juvenile into custody for Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property. The juvenile was transported to the Fairbury Police Department where he was released to his probation officer. Throughout the investigation, officers received information that another subject by the name of Hunter R. McCuistion was also involved in the burglary. After obtaining enough information, officers arrested McCuistion at a residence in the 1100 block H Street. He was taken into custody without incident. All items that were stolen from the business have been recovered.
McCuistion was transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he was booked on the above charges.
