Opportunity To Support CASA Approaches

On Tuesday, people are being asked to help support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) with Giving Tuesday.

Don Cook, Program Coordinator for Southeast Nebraska CASA, explained that the program helps to serve young people who have been removed from their homes through no fault of their own.

“Southeast Nebraska CASA serves five counties in Southeast Nebraska, including Jefferson, Gage, Thayer, Saline and Seward Counties,” said Cook. “We are in need of more CASA volunteers to be the voice that these children need.”

People are encouraged to visit www.southeastnebraskacasa.org to donate funds, which will be used to recruit and train more Court Appointed Special Advocates. Cook encourages people to contact him for more information about the program or to volunteer.

“This is a great time of the year to show our thanks for all of the support that we have received,” Cook said. The staff of Southeast Nebraska CASA wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Please visit our website for more information or to donate. We appreciate every donation we receive. We are working to change lives through CASA.”
