The Tri County Trojans had a rough start to their State Wrestling experience as only one wrestler won his match.
Cole Reedy, Ethan Paxton, Colby Ensz, Travis Likens, Chase Barnts and Benton Gustafson were all knocked out of the first day of competition in the first round as they faced tough matches. Only Cooper Smith, who wrestles at 182 lbs, was able to progress to another match on Thursday. Smith pinned his opponent, Jesus Felix III of Alma. However, Smith fell in the second round, with his opponent Scott Taylor of Medicine Valley outscoring him 5-2.
